Wilson and Annie celebrate Valentine’s day at Leabank

Ninety-three-year-old Wilson McMullan and his wife Annie (83) are celebrating their 68th Valentine’s Day and their first one together in Leabank Nursing Home, Ballycastle.
Nurse Manager, David Ross said, “Wilson is a true gentleman. He is always checking in to make sure Annie is happy and content. They make a beautiful couple and are very rarely apart. Their devotion to one another is clear to anyone who spends even a short time in their company.
“ Caring with Heart is a big part of the Macklin Care Home motto and marking such occasions is all part of providing the kindest care.”
Annie and Wilson McMullan who met at a dance and were known as the ‘Fred and Ginger’ of their time, married on 27th June 1950 and have three children Marina, Anne & John.
Annie comments: “Myself and Wilson, are very much in love, we ran a newsagent for many years and working together brought us much happiness. Being great grandparents keeps us busy and we celebrate love all year round, but it’s nice to express it a little more on Valentine’s day.”
