IHCP Awards Night Victory at Malone Lodge Hotel, Belfast

What a night was had at the IHCP Awards! Look's like the Macklin Care Homes awards cabinet will need an extension!
The Independent Health Care Provider awards night hosted by Paul Clark took place on Thursday 5th October 2017 in Malone Lodge Hotel, Belfast. The grand room was full of prestigious members of care providers throughout Northern Ireland. Staff members from Leabank, Arlington, Ratheane, Milesian Manor, and Park Manor nursing homes alongside the head office team and the Macklin Family all attended the awards night in their glad rags full of excitement for the successful evening ahead.
It was an honour for Macklin Care Homes to have been shortlisted for 9 IHCP awards and to our staff members delight; they were called to the stage four times to pick up winning awards.
Our finalists included Agnes Huey (Cook in Leabank) and Paula Drumm (Administrator in Park Manor) for the highly sought after Backbone Award. The team at Milesian Manor were proud finalists for the Care Team Award, Laura Campbell (Senior Staff Nurse in Park Manor) was a well deserving finalist for the Nursing Care Award and Gabi Jivan (Staff Nurse in Park Manor) was up for the highly commended Specialist Practice Award.
Park Manor had outdone themselves receiving three honourable awards – Care Team Award, Leadership Award for Claire Black (Nurse Manager) and Emerging Leader Award for Ciaran McGowan (Care Assistant Supervisor in Park Manor).
Finally, Annie Lake, resident at Ratheane Nursing Home won the Flourishing Award for her admirable growth and development within the home alongside her efforts towards the knitting club she founded to provide blankets for those in need in Central Africa.
IHCP is the recognised member organisation for those providing services for older people and vulnerable adults in Northern Ireland. They represent private, not-for- profit, charity and church-affiliated organisations providing residential and nursing home care, sheltered housing and care in the home.
